Just 25 miles northwest of Fort Worth, Wise County, Texas offers country living at its best, great shopping, excellent restaurants, nostalgic downtown squares and numerous events to celebrate its heritage. With car shows, rodeos, festivals, live theatre, and beautiful resorts for a getaway weekend, there's something for the entire family!

Bridgeport is recognized by the Texas Historical Commission as a National Main Street City and a Texas Main Street City. In 2009, the city was named the Stagecoach Capital of Texas! Stop by the Bridgeport Visitors Center in downtown at 812 Halsell to see this beautiful stagecoach.
