Just 25 miles northwest of Fort Worth, Wise County, Texas offers country living at its best, great shopping, excellent restaurants, nostalgic downtown squares and numerous events to celebrate its heritage. With car shows, rodeos, festivals, live theatre, and beautiful resorts for a getaway weekend, there's something for the entire family!
There are a lot of great things happening in Wise County.

Bridgeport is recognized by the Texas Historical Commission as a National Main Street City and a Texas Main Street City. In 2009, the city was named the Stagecoach Capital of Texas! Stop by the Bridgeport Visitors Center in downtown at 812 Halsell to see this beautiful stagecoach.

Calling All Artists!
The City of Rhome is having an art contest, themed "The History of Rhome." All age groups and art mediums are welcome. The winning piece of artwork from each age group will be displayed in the lobby of City Hall for the month of October. The overall winner's artwork will become a fixture in the Council Chambers.
